No, the Stainless Steel model uses a larger replacement cartridge built specifically for the steel housing. Both versions last around 3 months. Make sure to order the correct stainless cartridge when it’s time to replace.
Will it fit my tap?
Yes, PuraHome includes adapters and is compatible with most standard taps! The unit twists on in under 60 seconds. If your tap is unusual, we have extra adapter options to get a snug fit. For additional adapters click here!
How long does a cartridge last, and how do I maintain it?
On average, around 3 months depending on your water quality and how much you use. The cartridge will darken, and sometimes the flow slows down, both are clear signs it’s time to swap. Replacements twist on and off in seconds.
Does the stainless housing affect water pressure or the lever toggle?
No, flow and the filtered/unfiltered toggle work the same as the standard model; the stainless body simply upgrades durability and look.
How does it compare to jug filters, reverse osmosis, and bottled water?
Jug filters are slow and need constant refills. Reverse osmosis is expensive, takes up space, and wastes water. Bottled water adds cost and plastic waste. This filter gives you fresh water straight from the tap, with visible proof it’s working—while saving money and cutting down on plastic.
